Good link building is a conversation between people who run relevant websites. LinkHunter is designed to make that conversation easy and to make spam hard. These rules apply to every workspace.
1. Our outreach principles
- Relevance: contact a site only when your content is genuinely useful to its readers.
- Honesty: say who you are, why you are writing and what you are asking for. No fake familiarity (“loved your recent post”) you can’t back up.
- Respect: a “no” or an unsubscribe is final. Follow-ups are few and stop the moment someone replies.
- Disclosure: paid placements are sponsored content and are labelled as such.
2. What is not allowed
- Purchased or harvested lists. Contacts must come from addresses published on the website you are contacting, or from a reputable business-contact provider used within its terms.
- Personal addresses where a business address exists, and contacting people outside the role relevant to your request.
- Deceptive subject lines or headers, such as fake “Re:” or “Fwd:”, false urgency, or a sender name that isn’t you or your company.
- Spoofing and mailbox rotation. Sending from addresses or domains you don’t control, or spreading volume across mailboxes to avoid limits or filters.
- Link schemes. Private blog networks, automated link exchanges, or buying links to manipulate rankings.
- Undisclosed paid links. Any payment, gift or exchange for a link requires
rel="sponsored"(ornofollow). - Ignoring opt-outs or re-importing suppressed contacts.
3. How LinkHunter enforces this
4. Laws you must follow
You are the sender. Depending on where your recipients are, rules such as CAN-SPAM (US), UK GDPR and PECR, EU GDPR and national ePrivacy laws, and CASL (Canada) apply. In short: have a lawful reason to contact each person, identify yourself, include a working opt-out, and honour it promptly. This summary is not legal advice.
5. If these rules are broken
High bounce or complaint rates, reports from recipients, or evidence of the practices above may lead us to pause sending, restrict features or suspend the workspace, as described in the Acceptable Use Policy.
6. Report spam sent with LinkHunter
Forward the email with full headers to support@linkhunter.cc, or use the contact form. For data requests about yourself, write to support@linkhunter.cc.
